JON MUNN

URBAN DESIGN AND PLANNING SPECIALIST

Jon Munn, RPP MCIP, holds a BA in Psychology UBC, and MES in Urban Design and Planning from York University. Jon has worked as a consultant, a local government planner and a contractor to local governments for over 20 years. He started his Victoria-based consulting business in 2009 to work on local government policy and bylaw contracts, lead public engagement projects, assist clients in the land development process and work with nonprofits. The focus of Jon's company Munn CoPlanning is on collaborative community projects such as sustainability planning, policy making, alternative housing options and building participatory communities. Jon can help clients apply a broad range of perspectives to proposals. His background includes Sustainable Energy Management (SEMAC), healthy communities work, SafeGrowth training (3rd generation Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) and urban design guideline development.

Jon was awarded the highest academic achievement from Capilano University’s leading local government administration program and has taught at Vancouver Island University’s Master of Community Planning program. 

Jon is based in Victoria, BC.
