Canmore is located just outside the entrance to Banff National Park on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway #1), approximately 106 kilometers (66 miles) west of Calgary. The drive from Calgary is on a divided, double-lane highway, and it takes you from the prairies through the foothills and into the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Canmore is the first major town you'll find on your drive west through the Canadian Rockies; there are 3 exits off the Trans Canada Highway.
To get to Blackstone Mountain Lodge take your second exit off the Trans Canada Highway (Exit #91) onto Highway 1A. Highway 1A quickly turns into Bow Valley Trail by staying to the right. Follow Bow Valley Trail until Kananaskis Way (your second right). Blackstone is located at 170 Kananaskis Way.
If you are flying into Calgary, you will arrive at the Calgary International Airport, a 1 hour drive to Canmore. Car rentals are available at the airport. Alternatively, there are many shuttle services that will take you directly to Canmore. Visit www.calgaryairport.com for further information.
